This family is very special to me. I did their photos for the fifth time this summer. In Rocky Mountains. Talk about a dream come true! And can I say it was the best time ever? Because it was soo meant to be!
I met my dear Lawrence family back in 2016, they were one of my very first clients actually! They used to fly to Vancouver from Edmonton almost every year, sometimes twice a year, to do the session and enjoy Vancouver.
Anyway! This year it couldn't happen for obvious reasons so we snoozed it for "TBD" date.
In the meantime, I went vacationing, (actually more like road tripping & tent camping) to Rockies with my family this August and one day while visiting Jasper, Alberta, I posted a story on facebook. David (apparently surprised) sent me a message if I'm still there, that they want to come&meet us ("only" 5hr drive!).
OF COURSE! HOW COME I HAVEN'T THOUGHT ABOUT THIS?"
Even though, we had to travel down to Banff and set our base camp in Golden (because campground reservations) we really made it- we eventually met up in Canmore. Forecast on the day of was not optimistic. Storm was on its way but we couldn't give up and reschedule. Now or "not this year, probably not next year as well". That was it. Even if it would have rained crazy, we would have pull it off. Upon arrival to the location, I could see the enormous clouds coming from behind the mountains, eeh, that won't get here that fast. (I didn't even believe that myself the second I said it). Shockingly though, the rain did hold up till the last second of our shoot. We may have run to the car while being hit by gallons of water pouring down but who cares? I/ we just had such a wonderful time, like meeting old friends after a long time somewhere far away from your home. You know that feeling? I met their youngest whom I haven't seen yet and it was confirmed then - all of their kids are the sweetest souls. Parents, I bowed to you! David and Tamami, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your trust in me all these years and your friendship. I could go on and on but I'd rather let the pictures speak. Enjoy!
